The Trevithick Society is always short of manpower for  its various projects. At present this includes restoring a 1934 Holman compressor, working on the Camborne road loco and working at King Edward Mine.  You don't need to be a member of the Society to be a volunteer. You don't need to be a mechanical engineer or a painter and decorator. What you do need is:

  • Some spare time (often Sunday morning)

  • A boiler suit

  • Enthusiasm

  • A sense of humour would be a great asset!

1948 Holman air compressor while in storage at CompAir in Camborne. This is now at King Edward Mine where there is space to work on it. We would like to have it finished for 2010, our 75th anniversary year. It's not as bad as it looks! Please contact us if you are interested.
