Morvah Consols
|
This shows the south-western end of the adit, inland of the engine shaft. The dip of the lode can be seen here, although it is slightly steeper than higher up. This lode, the principle one in the sett, was called the Black Dog Lode, presumably on account of the dark colouring caused by the presence of tourmaline. The engine shaft, which passes through the adit, has been filled with rubble and a small amount of domestic refuse. |
