This remarkable picture is the property of St Just Town Council. While it depicts St Just United Mine (on the right) accurately, Cape Cornwall appears to be little more than an artist's impression. I suspect that this dates from late 1863 or early 1864. At the far end of the Cape are the remains of the old engine house.
