Cape Cornwall Mine
|
Aerial view of the Cape taken by my friend Gerald Williams. The adit portal can be seen about a quarter of the way from the right-hand side of the photo. The white building on the western end of the Cape is operated by Cornwall Coastwatch. Directly behind the stack is the Kenidjack Valley. Waste tips can be seen at the entrance and a late 19th century quarry at the top left. At the foot of the valley slope on the right is the masonry pit for a 65-foot diameter water wheel.
