Cape Cornwall Mine

Cape Cornwall today

The Cape as it is today.  It is easier to appreciate the difficulties of constructing engine houses in narrow spaces from this view.  The engine shaft is sited just to the right of the revetted wall at the end of the Cape.  The count house is a private dwelling, as is the building to the left of it.  This is not the old boiler house but appears to have been built on its foundations.  The walled terraces at the right of the picture are the remains of a vinery built in about 1905.
